Centenary Summer Fayre at St Peter’s Parkstone
Possibly Parkstone’s longest-running community event, the St Peter’s Parkstone Summer Fayre, is back this month celebrating its centenary year and who better to open the milestone event than the Mayor of Poole, Cllr Sean Gabriel.
The Rector, Revd Michael Camp, is looking forward to welcoming the Mayor of Poole to open the St Peter’s centenary summer Fayre on Saturday 9 June.
In attendance will be David Squire, celebrating 60 years as town crier and believed to be the longest-serving crier in the UK.
In addition to fun fair rides and stalls, a range of Dorset Foods will be on display. Music from the Baden Powell and St Peter’s Church of England Junior School steel band will play the main stage, followed by vocal support from the Bournemouth U3A Choir and soloist Hannah Gough.
The one-day, family friendly Fayre features live music, fun dog show, inflatables, local food and drink and craft stalls.
The St Peter’s Parkstone Centenary Summer Fayre at Ashley Cross Green runs from 10 am on Saturday, 9 June. Admission is free.
