Have you ever dreamed of visiting a supermarket one morning before it opens and being allowed to go wild in the aisles and fill your trolley with goodies?
Well, thanks to the generosity of Sainsbury’s Poole, Lewis-Manning Hospice in Poole is offering the chance for someone to win a £300 Trolley Dash on 10 May at the store in Poole High Street.
The hospice, which offers free care and support to local people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, is currently Charity of the Year for the Poole branch of Sainsbury’s, and the store has already arranged a number of fundraising initiatives including a Bingo Night, Pool Competition and Cake Sale, which has so far raised £1,500.
Louise Jones, Community Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning, said, “This is a real once in a lifetime opportunity and we are very grateful that Sainsbury’s, Poole have generously given us this incredible prize to offer to the community. I imagine a lot of people would love to have three minutes to race around a store on their own to fill up a trolley with goodies. I wouldn’t be surprised if the winner needs to invest in an extra fridge or freezer to store everything.”
Tickets to enter are just £2 each and are available from the hospice and at hospice events, as well as through the store. All tickets and money must be returned to the hospice by Wednesday 29 April 2015. The draw will take place on 1 May and the Trolley Dash will take place on Sunday 10 May before the store opens to the public.
Anyone interested in buying tickets for the Trolley Dash can call Louise in Fundraising on 01202 708470 or louisej@lewis-manning.co.uk or just pop into the hospice or Sainsbury’s in Poole.
