Pupils of Hillside Community First School in Verwood, along with Hillside Pre-School, have been collecting shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Appeal. The school supports this charity every year and this year they have collected 83 boxes. These boxes have been filled with a variety of items to make up a Christmas present for a child, who might not otherwise receive one. The children have been putting a lot of thought into what others may like to receive, whilst reflecting on how lucky they are themselves.
