Christchurch play park suffers fire damage
Police are appealing for witnesses after an arson incident at a play park in Christchurch.
A children’s play boat was deliberately set on fire at a park in The Quomps on Wick Lane, Christchurch at around 7.25pm on Tuesday 14 February, causing approximately £2,000 worth of damage.
Police Constable Matt Leeding, of Christchurch police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the relevant time to please contact police.
“This play park is really popular among local families and it is disgusting that someone has decided to damage it in this way. I would urge anyone who has any information about who was responsible to come forward”
According to the police, nobody was injured in the incident.
