Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a robbery in Mudeford.
It happened at around 5.35pm on Wednesday 25 September at the Avon Beach Café.
A man entered the store, forced his way behind the counter and stole a quantity of cash. He also assaulted a female member of staff, pushing her over as he made his escape. She was not injured.
Detective Constable Neil Third, of Dorset Police’s CID, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the employees at this shop, and it is fortunate nobody was hurt.
“I urge anyone who witnessed this robbery, has information about the man responsible or saw someone acting strangely prior to the incident taking place to contact police in confidence.”
The offender is described as a white man, aged in his mid-twenties and of medium build with dark hair.
He was wearing a beige coloured baseball cap, a blue Adidas t-shirt with the logo written in white on the chest, light coloured shorts and black Nike trainers.
He left the scene on a black full suspension mountain bike.
