Christmas tree collection across parts of Dorset and Hampshire
Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity, is hosting its seventh year of Christmas Treecycling services bookable before Wednesday 4 January.
Sponsored by Waste Management Facilities Limited and supported by Adventure Wonderland and BCP Council the fundraising initiative will take place between Friday 6 January and Monday 9 January 2023.
For a suggested £10 donation, the Diverse Abilities’ team of volunteers will collect your tree across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, East Dorset and Ringwood, and dispose of it responsibly.
“We’re thrilled to see the return of our Treecycling service,” said fundraising officer Claire Cooper. “It’s one of our most important fundraisers of the year and allows us to raise vital money and truly makes a huge difference in our efforts to continue supporting more than 1,600 children and adults with physical and learning disabilities across the county.”
Collections can be booked online for a suggested £10 donation, and the charity’s team of volunteers will take to the Dorset roads over the collection weekend in January to ensure the trees are disposed of sustainably and recycled into wood chippings.
Managing director at Waste Management Facilities Limited, Lisa Delahunty, commented: “We are looking forward to working with Diverse Abilities again this year. Treecycling is an excellent way to make a planet-conscious decision over the festive period, and it’s exciting to see this service grow each year.”
Visit diverseabilities.org.uk/trees to book your collection by Wednesday 4 January.
