Christmas tree festival for West Moors
St Martin’s Church in West Moors is hosting its Christmas tree festival this week, with 30 trees decorated by local groups.
The Christmas Tree Festival has returned to St Martin’s Church – which is on the corner of Station Road and Moorlands Road in West Moors – after last year’s absence due to the pandemic.
There are some 30 Christmas trees beautifully decorated by local school children, clubs, organisations churches and traders.
Entry is free but donations are being invited for two charities, Macmillan Caring Locally which is building a new hospice unit at Christchurch, and the British Heart Foundation. There is also a raffle.
The festival is open from today (Wednesday) until Saturday. Times are: Wednesday and Thursday 1 and 2 December 11am – 5pm, Friday 3 December 11am – 9pm and Saturday 4 December 11am – 2pm.
