Community support for Wimborne Gardening Club summer show

Wimborne Gardening Club’s late Summer Show on 30 August at the Allendale Centre received good support from members and visitors. There were almost 150 entries across the different classes of Home-Grown Vegetables, Fruit, Flowers, Cookery, Photography, Handicrafts, Floral Art, Junior Classes, and a fun class of Giant Vegetables. The winners were presented with their cups as well as vouchers donated by Stewarts Garden Centre.

The cup winners were: Bill Howarth (Fruit and Vegetables); Jane Green (Flowers); David Cobb (Photography and Flowers); Jo Stanley (Cookery); Annie Chambers (Floral Art); Sarah Cheney (Handicrafts); and Millie (Junior Classes).

Wilding Wimborne manned their information stand, with frequent visitors all afternoon.
