Ferndown Junior Jitsu Club had a resounding success at the Jitsu Foundation Judo Championships in Birmingham last Saturday (27 April).
Students scooped 11 Gold, 9 Silver, 6 Bronze, 6 Special Awards and 28 medals. To top off the medal rush, Scott Bishop also passed his 1st Kyu Brown Belt grading.
Around 300 competitors took part from around the UK and Ferndown’s 28-strong team dominated the junior boys events in all categories and also won the open competition outright.
John Hanrahan Chairman of the Ferndown club said, “What a fantastic result for children, Ferndown and Dorset. We are very proud of all who took part.”
