Community First New Forest has accepted an offer of free servicing for the wheelchair accessible minibus they operate to transport infirm and vulnerable people and other community groups.
Dave Wolfenden the founder of Ferndown based Abacus Vehicle Hire has pledged to provide the frequent mandatory servicing free of charge for the next two years to support CFNF Transport Manager Graham Hartless and his team. CFNF are based in Ringwood and receive funding from both the New Forest Council and Hampshire County Council.
Dave Wolfenden said: “I live in Ringwood and heard through a friend about the great service provided by CFNF and wanted to do something practical to help with their running costs as council funded services are continuously stretched. Our servicing facilities will be open to them anytime.”
Graham Hartless said that the out of the blue cost saving offer was gratefully received, as under the law the minibus requires servicing every 12 weeks.
