Christchurch Borough Council is holding a public exhibition of plans to enhance and improve Christchurch town centre, as part of the Christchurch Town Centre Strategy, and will be asking residents for their views on the proposals.
The exhibition will be held on Monday 6 October under the Mayor’s Parlour in the High Street from 10am to 4pm. Council representatives and members of the project team will be present to explain the proposals and answer questions, and feedback forms will be available for residents to leave comments.
Following the exhibition, the display boards will be available to view in the foyer of The Regent Centre, 51 High Street, BH23 1AS from Tuesday 7 to Monday 13 October (open 10am to 10pm), with feedback forms also available.
Cllr Ray Nottage, Leader of Christchurch Borough Council said: “I’m delighted that we are now able to obtain community feedback on our proposals to enhance and improve the town centre. We are hoping to obtain as much feedback as possible on the proposals which have been drawn up to ensure we continue to preserve, protect and enhance the unique character of Christchurch and its historic centre.”
Cllr Claire Bath, Portfolio Holder for Economy at the council, added: “Enhancing the town centre experience will support economic growth in Christchurch which is a key priority for the council. We’re looking forward to meeting residents and stakeholders on 6 October to discuss our proposals for Christchurch town centre and to hear their views. We will analyse the feedback from this exhibition carefully to refine the plans.”
