Cracking Bournemouth fundraiser for mental health charity
An Easter Egg Bingo Night in aid of Plants and Minds is to be held on Wednesday 18 March at Kinson Conservative Club.
A charity that supports adults with life-impacting mental health conditions is holding a fundraising Easter Egg Bingo Night on Wednesday 18 March at Kinson Conservative Club in Bournemouth.
Plants and Minds, which runs Cherry Tree Nursery in Bournemouth and Chestnut Nursery in Poole, says the event promises a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with Easter-themed bingo prizes and plenty of opportunities to socialise while supporting a great cause.
The charity’s Community Liaison Officer, Maria Tidy, said: “We wanted to put on an event that’s fun, accessible and brings people together while supporting a great mental health cause. Easter bingo felt like the perfect way to achieve our goals, and we’d love to see the community come along and engage in what promises to be an evening to remember.”
Plants and Minds supports people experiencing mental health challenges by providing safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces at its two nurseries, which have gained a loyal following among green-fingered locals for their extensive range of top-quality, home-grown plants.
People referred for horticultural therapy connect with nature, learn new skills, make friends and build confidence at the nurseries. Money raised from the new Easter Egg Bingo Night will help the charity continue to provide its vital work within the local community.
Tidy added: “Everyone is welcome, so be a good egg — please bring friends, family, work colleagues and neighbours for what promises to be an enjoyable evening of fun, laughter and great prizes — while helping Plants and Minds to continue using the power of plants and gardening to enhance wellbeing across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.”
Doors open at 6.30pm, then it’s eyes down for a bingo bonanza at 7.15pm. Tickets include a half-time fish and chips supper, which will be served at 8.30pm.
