Visit the Old School at Sturminster Marshall this weekend and sample some delicious homemade Dorset cream teas to raise funds for Lewis-Manning Hospice.
Served by the staff and volunteers, guests will have the opportunity to socialise over a cream tea, find out more about the charity’s new state of the art hospice, browse and buy bric-a-brac and plants – and try their luck on the tombola!
Sara Sheppard, Community Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning Hospice said, “We’d love to see as many people as possible at the Old School, our hospice provides care for people living in this area and it would be great to get to know members of the local community, plus there will be a lovely selection of tea and cakes on offer.”
Facilities for the day are provided by The Mackrell Charity which supports the Sturminster Marshall community. Doors open at 2.30pm – 5.30pm on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2. Parking is available. All proceeds to Lewis-Manning Hospice.
Lewis-Manning Hospice is a charity that provides free care and support to local people living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The PCT provides around a third of its income and the remaining £50,000 a month comes from the charity’s 10 hospice shops, legacies, fundraising initiatives and the hospice lottery.
