Over the Summer, the Old School Rooms in Sturminster Marshall will be serving cream teas in aid of charities. On the last weekend in July (Saturday 27 and Sunday 28) Friends of the Strays of Greece will be providing cream teas and cakes in this delightful village setting with proceeds going to help abandoned, sick and injured dogs and cats in Greece.
Strays of Greece, an Ashley Heath based Charity, supports small rescue centres (often just one or two individuals) rescuing dogs in desperate condition and feeding and neutering the vast numbers of cats and kittens. In May the charity enabled 72 bitches to be spayed at one small rescue centre run by two English ladies and substantial donations of food were made to help dogs in a pound which had not eaten for 3 days.
As well as cream teas and cakes there will be items to buy as well as a tombola. Teas will be served from 2 pm until 5 pm – both indoors and outdoors and there is parking nearby.
The Old School Rooms can be found by turning right at the Sturminster Marshall cross roads (just off the A31 Poole/Dorchester roundabout)BH21 4BU
