Police in Swanage are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a series of burglaries and car crimes in the town.
The incidents happened some time overnight between 5pm on Tuesday 7 May and 7.30am on Wednesday 8 May.
A number of cars, garages and sheds were broken into on Bon Accord Road, Queens Road, Manor Road, Russell Avenue and Stafford Road.
At approximately 12.20am a prowler was disturbed on Manor Road. He was described as a white man in his 20s, about five feet nine inches tall, of slight build with short dark hair. He was wearing a body warmer and a dark coloured fleece.
Later that morning, at approximately 2.20am, offenders were disturbed while breaking into a vehicle on Bon Accord Road. They ran away and dropped a bag of stolen property which was recovered. There are no descriptions apart from that one was wearing a hat.
Police Constable Simon Colvin of Purbeck police said, “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed these incidents or recalls any suspicious activity in the area to contact Dorset Police.”
