CCTV appeal after criminal damage to police vehicle in Poole
Officers are appealing for witnesses after an incident of criminal damage to a police vehicle in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report shortly before 1am on Sunday 15 April 2018 that a group of young men were seen jumping on a marked police Land Rover parked at Poole Quay while taking photos of each other.
It was later established that damage had been caused to the vehicle’s bonnet and roof.
Officers attended and searched the area but the suspects were not located.
CCTV has been obtained, which shows a group of five men climbing on the Land Rover while another takes a photo of them.
Police Constable Bruce Murdoch, of the marine section, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries and have obtained CCTV showing the incident.
“I am releasing images from the CCTV in the hope that somebody might recognise those involved.
“I would also urge anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact police.”
