Cyclist seriously injured in collision with a lorry in Poole

An 18-year-old male cyclist was taken by air ambulance to Southampton Hospital for treatment to serious injuries following a collision with a lorry in St Osmunds Road, near to the junction with Kings Avenue on Tuesday 27 September.
Having received the report at 2.51pm, officers attended along with the ambulance service.
Road closures were put in place and an examination of the scene was conducted.
Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the traffic unit, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures. As ever, these are necessary to allow the emergency services to respond safely and for an examination of the collision scene to be carried out.”
