Dedication ceremony for new Ferndown branch Standard
A service of dedication for the new branch Standard of the Royal British Legion in Ferndown was held at St Mary’s Church on 5 March.
Attended by local MP Christopher Chope, the chairman of East Dorset District Council and the mayor of Ferndown, as well as representatives of the RBL and branch Standards from all over Dorset, a service of dedication was held for the new branch Standard of the Royal British Legion in Ferndown.
Led by branch chaplain, Lieutenant Commander Ralph Dodds RN (retired), he dedicated the new Standard to symbolise the principles and objects of the Legion in supporting serving personnel of the armed forces, veterans, families and dependents whenever and wherever the support is most needed.
