Detectives make TV appeal as sexual assault investigation continues
Detectives continuing to investigate a report of sexual assault outside a Bournemouth nightclub have made a televised appeal.
An investigation is ongoing into reports that a woman aged in her 20s was sexually assaulted by a man outside Cameo in Fir Vale Road at around 4.45am on Wednesday 1 January 2020.
As part of their ongoing enquiries, detectives from Bournemouth CID took part in an appeal on the BBC One show Crimewatch Live on 20 September 2021.
The appeal included Body Worn footage from security officers of a man detectives would like to speak to as part of their ongoing enquiries.
Detective Constable Jethro Marles, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We owe it to the victim in this case to explore every line of enquiry available to us and do all we can to identify the man responsible for this sexual assault.
“I would like to thank the team at Crimewatch for their assistance in bringing our appeal to a national audience and would urge anyone with information relating to the identity of the man who features in the footage to please come forward.”
