Dick Goemaat, hospitality venue owner, sadly dies
Dick Goemaat, joint owner of The Rising Sun, Christchurch, and Dicky’s Brasserie, has died after a short battle with cancer.
Dick sadly passed away on 13 November with his wife Lynne by his side.
In a statement, the team said, “Dick will forever be in our hearts and minds at The Rising Sun and at Dicky’s. His passion for hospitality, along with his caring personality will live on with us every day in all that we do.
His loving approach for both businesses has created genuine family units and both “families” at The Rising Sun and at Dicky’s loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.”
The funeral cortege will be passing The Rising Sun, Purewell at approximately 11.50am and Dicky’s Southbourne at 11.55am on Monday 30 November, before going to Bournemouth crematorium for a private service.
