An e-fit of a man wanted in connection with a crime in Ashley Heath has been released by Ferndown police.
It follows the theft of a wallet from an elderly man at his home in Lions Lane between 4pm on Sunday, 17 March and 3.15pm on 18 March.
The victim allowed an unknown man into his house who demanded cash for repair work to the chimney. After his departure the wallet was discovered to be missing. No repair work was completed.
Police Constable Dave Hassell, of Ferndown police, said, “Following further investigation, I am now able to release an e-fit image of the man who attended the property.
“I am keen to speak with him as I believe he can assist with the investigation and help us to determine exactly what happened.
“I also ask anyone who recognises him or has information about the incident to contact us.
“I would like to remind all residents not to let anyone into their property that they do not know or who does not show official identification.”
