Officers in West Moors are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after an assault that occurred in a betting shop in the village – with a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with being released.
The incident, in which a male member of staff was assaulted by an unknown man, happened inside Ladbrokes on Station Road at around 12.15pm on Monday 1 April.
The victim, a man from Bournemouth, suffered facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Constable Mike Burt, of Ferndown police, said: “This was an unprovoked attack that has left the victim injured and shaken.
“The offender left the shop immediately and was seen running along Glenwood Way.
“Following enquiries I am now able to release a CCTV image of a man that I believe can help with the investigation.
“I appeal for the man in the picture or anyone who can identify him to come forward and speak to the police in the strictest confidence.”
