The Christchurch and Wimborne Stewarts Garden Centres have launched a click and collect service on their website as well as the opportunity for customers to order a range of gift vouchers, and tickets for various talks, demonstrations and events by post.
Terry Head, Stewarts’ director of retail and marketing says that the project was managed by a team from the businesses’ younger employees.
It was Stewarts’ furniture assistant Joelle Campbell, IT assistant Lewis Newton and marketing executive Emily Kidgell who were determined to make the click and collect service as simple to use as possible, even for first time online users.
“The service has been trialled for a few weeks and already being adopted by customers as an added convenience to their shopping experience with us. It’s a great way to reserve items such as garden furniture and BBQs, and larger, one-off outdoor products that we sell exclusively in the region,” said Terry Head. “This is in addition to our dedicated delivery service enjoyed by customers.”
He added that as long-established horticultural growers and retailers, Stewarts will continue to focus their investment into the presentation and range of stock at their award-winning centres enjoyed by visitors.
