Dorset hospice appoints new finance director

Dorset’s Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, which is also Dorset View’s charity of the year, has appointed a new finance director.

Russell Shivas, an accountant with over 30 years’ experience across various sectors, including as Vice President Finance & Operations at Durable UK Ltd, is filling the role of Director of Finance and Operations at the hospice.

Commenting on his new position, Russell said: “I’m loving my new role at Lewis-Manning, supporting those with life-limiting illnesses.  I’m looking forward to being of value and worth and helping to develop the hospice.

“I’ve never worked in the charity sector before and I’m enjoying learning lots of new things. It’s a great environment to be in, an excellent team of staff and there’s a good work/life balance too.”

Lewis-Manning’s CEO Clare Gallie said: “A warm welcome to Russell, his experience and support will be invaluable to our team.”
