Dorset magician nominated for wedding industry award
Magic by Alfie was announced as a Regional Finalist in the hotly fought Magician category for The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.
A Dorset-based magician in on the verge of being recognised as the best in the South West after being announced as a Regional Finalist in the hotly fought Magician category for The Wedding Industry Awards 2025.
The Wedding Industry Awards represent the utmost achievement in industry recognition. The awards are based entirely on reviews from current wedding clients and are evaluated by a panel of industry specialists.
The winners will be announced in November.
Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, said: “Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game.
“Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success. Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things. Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.”
Alfie, of Magic by Alfie, said it was a privilege to participate in the awards. If he wins the category, he along with nine other regional award winners will progress to the National finals in January 2025.
Alfie says winning will mean he can end 2024 on a high after a successful year which included receiving two awards (one for close-up magic, the other for stage) from his local magic club, the Wessex Magical Association.
Earlier this year, Alfie expanded his wedding entertainment business to “magical hosting,” which offers couple help with wedding planning, on the day announcements, compering of speeches and a personalised comedy ‘cabaret’ show.
