Dorset Neon Run first fundraiser in 18 months for Diverse Abilities
The 5k fun run at Poole Park, Dorset Neon Run, will take place on May 22 in order to raise funds for Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities.
The event will be an evening of bright colours, music provided by HOT Radio, and a sunset start time; allowing the neon colours to brighten as participants reach the finish line. The event will be run in line with the current Covid-19 restrictions including social distancing measures, staggered starts and multiple registration desks.
Event manager at Diverse Abilities, Karen Hay, said: “We’re so pleased that the Dorset Neon Run is able to go ahead this year, it will be our first fundraising event for almost 18 months and it’s definitely one of our favourite events.”
Nick Rouse, head coach and owner at the event’s sponsor, Collective Conditioning, added: “Community is at the heart of our gym, which is why we wanted to get involved with the Dorset Neon Run and help support a local event. We want to spread the message that exercise is fun and inclusive whilst also having a great time on the night ourselves.”
Entries start at £15 with fundraising options available. All participants receive a race t-shirt, medal, glow pack, and fundraising support.
