Dorset Neon Run raises £5,500
Although the Dorset Neon Run wasn’t able to take place in Poole Park this year, 65 participants walked, ran, and danced their own five-kilometre routes between Saturday 23 and Monday 25 May, raising £5,500 for Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities.
Emma Bovey, fundraising manager at Diverse Abilities, commented, “While we are gutted that we couldn’t host the Dorset Neon Run as usual this year, it has been fantastic to see everyone making their own interpretations of the event with their families during lockdown.
“Every bit of fundraising helps us continue to provide high standards of care to the adults and children we support, especially during this crisis time. We are so grateful to everyone for taking part, and we are working hard already on what the 2021 event looks like.”
If anyone wishes to do their own 5-kilometre run or walk in aid of Diverse Abilities then donations can still be made at dorsetneonrun.com for any amount.
