Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill and his team will be in town on Friday 30 January to meet with members of the public and listen to their views on community safety, crime and policing. The Commissioner will also visit the Dorset Advocacy Service and will be speaking at the Corn Exchange Holocaust Memorial Day at lunchtime.
In a packed programme, the PCC and his team will be at the Tesco Store on Weymouth Avenue between 10am-3pm to meet residents and find out about the issues that affect them. Martyn will be holding one-to-one surgery sessions during the day which can be booked by calling 01202 229084.
During the afternoon, the PCC will meet with staff and volunteers from the Dorset Advocacy Service who run the Appropriate Adult Scheme in police custody suites. He will then go out to meet with officers, staff and volunteers based at Dorchester Police Station.
Dorset PCC Martyn Underhill said: “I am really looking forward to meeting residents in the Dorchester area – I want to get to the heart of the community and hear first-hand, the policing and crime issues that matter to people from that area.”
The PCC’s visit to Dorchester is part of a rolling programme of monthly community days across Dorset, where residents can talk to Martyn about his role and raise any policing or wider community safety issues.
