To celebrate, the RSPB is holding a livestream event from nature reserves across the UK.

Special guests including Chris Packham, Megan McCubbin and others will share their experiences of the dawn chorus and what makes it so special.

To ‘start the day differently’ get up with the RSPB at 5am to experience the dawn chorus on your doorstep and share the sounds across social media using #DawnChorusDay.

Listen out for the fantastic songsters from Dorset’s very own RSPB Arne and RSPB Radipole Lake, including the churring of the nightjar.
