Dorset to move to Tier 2 restrictions from 2 December
Dorset is to go into Tier 2 (High Alert) restrictions when the national restrictions ease on Wednesday 2 December.
The announcement was made by the government today that both the Dorset Council area and the BCP Council area will be subject to Tier 2 restrictions. The main restrictions under Tier 2 are:
- no mixing of households indoors, apart from support bubbles
- pubs and bars must remain closed, unless operating as restaurants
This tiering is due to be reviewed by the government on 16 December.
There will be a live Dorset Council briefing on COVID tonight (26 November) at 7pm to hear more from Sam Crowe, Director of Public Health Dorset, on what this means for us all. The briefing will be recorded and available on the council YouTube channel.
You can submit questions in advance to phdcomms@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk.
