Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue performance report
A virtual meeting of Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Authority was held on Wednesday 15 December.
The authority received the service’s six-month performance report at the meeting, which included an update on five priorities and progress made.
Highlights included:
- The backlog of Safe and Well visits following the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021 has been cleared
- The service is on track to achieve its targets for reducing deliberate fires thanks to targeted prevention work and community engagement. However, accidental dwelling fires have seen a slight increase
- So far, in 2021, more than 200,000 people have received road safety messages from online and 24 digital road safety events have been attended
- The high rise inspection programme has been completed ahead of schedule
The quarterly update video on incidents attended, projects undertaken and achievements during the autumn months was presented.
