Drivers seriously injured in Sturminster Marshall collision
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage following the collision on Thursday 31 July.
Two women were taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision on the A350 Blandford Road near to the Golden Fox pub in Sturminster Marshall on Thursday 31 July.
The collision at around 4.30pm on Thursday 31 July involved a black Audi Q3 and a grey Ford Fiesta.
The driver of the Audi – a woman in her 70s from the Poole area – and the female driver of the Ford, in her 20s from Poole, were both taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Road closures were put in place to allow emergency services to safely treat the injured people. The road reopened at around 7.45pm.
Police Constable Dan Yates, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and are seeking anyone with relevant dashcam footage to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to speak to any motorists who saw the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place as this allowed us to carry out a detailed scene examination to assist our investigation.”
