Drugs and phones seized in Fordingbridge dawn raid
A raid on a Sovereign Housing Association retirement property, Pembridge House in Fordingbridge, took place on Friday 17 November.
Police officers executed a Section 23 misuse of drugs warrant just before 7am on Friday 17 November at an address in Pembridge House, Salisbury Road, Fordingbridge.
After forcing entry to the property, several items were seized, including suspected Class A drugs, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia.
A 32-year-old man from Fordingbridge has since been interviewed in connection with the suspected offence of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. The investigation and enquiries continue.
Involved in the operation were Ringwood and Fordingbridge Neighbourhood Policing Team, the New Forest Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, along with Method of Entry officers.
Officers have also linked up with partner agencies, including Sovereign Housing Association, who are working hard to protect vulnerable residents in the area.
They have already issued a notice to two people, without tenancy rights, who were found inside the property this morning.
New Forest district commander, Chief Inspector Nick Marsden, said: “Officers continue to tackle drug-related activity across the New Forest, but can only do so with the support and information from our communities.
“As the eyes and ears on the ground, please continue to let us know about activity in the area in which you live.
“The more information you share with us, the more we can develop this, and the more action we can take, including the execution of warrants and the targeting of criminals causing the most harm to our communities.”
Anyone who has any information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood can contact the police on 101, or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website, always call 999 in an emergency. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
