Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in Poole have released an e-fit of the suspect.
The incident occurred at around 6.45pm on Friday 17 July near Culliford Crescent on Canford Heath.
The victim, a 30-year-old local woman, was walking her dog when she was approached and threatened by a man who tried to steal her phone.
He was confronted by the victim’s dog and ran away in the direction of Marshall Avenue.
The victim sustained two minor cuts as a result of the incident but no items were stolen.
The offender is described as white, aged in his late 30s, about six feet tall and of slim build. He had shoulder-length dark hair and wore a dirty white T-shirt, baggy blue jeans and white trainers.
Detective Constable Ben Griffin, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am now in a position to release an e-fit of the suspect.
“I would like to hear from anyone who thinks that they recognise the man based on the description and e-fit image.
“I am also appealing to local residents who may have seen or heard something suspicious at the relevant time and place.”
