E-scooter rider I serious condition following Bournemouth collision
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the manner of the riding of the vehicle in the early hours of 5 January.
The rider of an electric scooter sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision in Old Christchurch Road on Monday 5 January.
Dorset Police received a report at 1.55am of the collision opposite the Popworld nightclub.
The rider of the scooter, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment. His family has been informed.
His pillion passenger, a man in his 30s, sustained minor injuries.
Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation to establish the circumstances of this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please contact us.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the manner of riding of the electric scooter in the vicinity around the relevant timeframe or motorists with relevant dashcam footage.”
