Gemma Murphy, who launched View HR over three years ago, said that the growing issues that she has found to be faced by employees and employers is the motivation behind her consultancy’s first workshop.
“The morning session will cover the stigma of mental health, how to identify cases in the workplace, the causes and effects of stress and how to support both employees and employers,” said Gemma Murphy.
“Stress alone can add unwanted costs through absenteeism and mistakes made in day to day working life. If we accept that a workforce is the greatest asset that a business can have, then its important to support all the people that will make a business successful.”
The morning workshop will be run in collaboration with Stress Right and Dorset Mind, and held at the Orchid Hotel in Bournemouth on the 18 September. All proceeds from the £25 ticket price will be donated to the mental health charity, Dorset Mind.
