A vintage Louis Vuitton trunk is to be sold in November by Lawrences Auctioneers of Crewkerne.
Entered by a client in the Minehead area, this trunk was retailed by Vuitton’s London branch at New Bond Street, and was made in the first half of the 20th century. In a typical Vuitton design, the trunk is wooden bound and is secured with brass fittings and a lock, and still has original passenger labels attached to its handles.
Lawrences Auctioneer Simon Jones said, “Vintage luggage is still very popular in auction, and Louis Vuitton continues to attract interest from collectors and private customers.“
The trunk is expected to make up to £500 in auction.
