Family tribute to woman who died following collision in East Dorset
Following the sad death of two people, Dorset Police is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
The family of Rebecca French, who died on Sunday 7 December in a road collision near Badbury Rings, have paid tribute to her.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.53pm of a collision that was believed to involve a single vehicle — a white Vauxhall Grandland — on the B3082 Blandford Road.
Emergency services attended and, very sadly, the occupants of the vehicle — Rebecca, 51, and a man in his 30s — were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family stated: “Beccy was a much-loved mother, daughter, sister, nanny and auntie.
“We will miss your laugh, your smile and your unbelievable strength.
“Beccy had battled most her life with MS and never gave up, even completing multiple skydives to raise money for MS charity.
“We are forever proud of you, you are always in our hearts, and we will never ever forget you.”
Anyone who has information about the collision or dashcam footage is asked to make contact online via the Dorset Police website or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250179929. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
