At around 5.30am today, (24 December), officers were called to the collision involving two vehicles on Holt Lane.
A silver Ford Mondeo and a white Vauxhall Combo van, both registered to local men, were involved in the incident.

His next of kin have been informed and the coroner notified.
The road is closed between Stocks Inn at Furzehill and God’s Blessing Lane while emergency services deal with the incident.
It is expected to be closed for some time to allow collision investigators to examine the scene.

“I am urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, to please call Dorset Police urgently.”
