Fatal moped rider collision in Christchurch
Anyone who witnessed this fatal collision on Sunday 1 February, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to contact Dorset Police.
A moped rider in his 80s sadly died at the scene in a single-vehicle collision in The Grove, Christchurch.
The collision, involving a green Vespa moped, occurred at around 4.55pm on Sunday 1 February.
Road closures were put in place to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who very sadly died.
“I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of the collision, and I would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“I am also keen to speak with any motorists who were in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
