Felicity runs 630-mile coastal path for charity
Felicity ran 630 miles to raise funds for Diverse Abilities and The Bike Project raising more than £2,700 for charity.
Local woman, Felicity Hooper, has run the whole of the South West Coast Path – a grand total of 630 miles and 115,000ft elevation – to raise funds for Diverse Abilities.
Felicity started in Minehead, Somerset, and ended at South Haven Point, Studland, greeted by friends and family.
She was also raising money for The Bike Project, a charity which collects second hand bikes and donates them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK.
Felicity raised £2,263 plus a further £549 donated by her employer Investec Wealth & Investment.
She said: “I wanted to raise money for Diverse Abilities as my brother has mild learning difficulties and has used their services in the past. I know how important it is to have the right support and the right access to education for individuals and their families.”
Diverse Abilities is encouraging individuals and groups to ‘Do Something Amazing’ and create their own event or challenge to provide exceptional lives for the people supported by the charity.
