The new M&S Foodhall in Ferndown welcomed its first customers today (6 July).
After the official ribbon cutting ceremony held by M&S employees and the Mayor of Ferndown, local residents queued outside, ready to browse the shelves.
The opening of the Foodhall has brought nearly 50 new jobs to the local area and the team has already committed to working with local charity, Hope for Food.
Graeme Todd, Store Manager at M&S Foodhall Ferndown, said: “Today’s store launch has been a fantastic event and an excellent opportunity for me and my team to meet the local community and mayor, and welcome them into our new store.”
Councillor Mike Parkes, The Mayor of Ferndown, added: “The M&S Foodhall is a great new addition to the town of Ferndown and myself and the local community alike have been fervently anticipating the opening of the store. It has been a privilege to open the store today and see the enjoyment and enthusiasm from the first customers passing through its doors. I’m sure the community of Ferndown will continue to embrace the new store and enjoy all the benefits it will bring to the town.”
The store is located at 296 Ringwood Road, Ferndown and will be open 8am–8pm Monday to Saturday and 10am–4pm on Sundays.
