“As the new Headteacher of Ferndown Upper School, I would like to congratulate the students of Year 11 on their excellent GCSE results,” said Philip Jones today (20 August 2015).
“Following the school’s recent good rating from an Ofsted HMI Inspector and our outstanding A-Level results, where 43% of students gained A* to B grades, the GCSE students today gained the school’s best ever value added score, putting the school in the top third of the country for progress. The students English and Maths results were also higher than national results, being 68% and 66% respectively.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff and students of Ferndown Upper School for their hard work.”
