The Royal Bournemouth Hospital’s (RBH) League of Friends will host its annual Christmas fayre on 15 November to raise funds for the hospital which make a real difference to patient care.
Shoppers are invited to start their Christmas shopping early by visiting a wide range of stalls from 2-4pm in the main atrium of RBH, including a handmade gift stall, tombola and homemade cake stall. The League of Friends counter will also be open and refreshments will be available from The Royal Voluntary Services.
The 2013 fayre raised more than £3,100 and over the last year the League of Friends has funded much needed medical equipment for the hospital, including 11 porter trollies, a resus trolley for the Emergency Department and blood pressure monitors for the Cardiac Department.
Rosie Havers, Chair of the League of Friends, said: “We were thrilled with the success of last year’s fayre and we want to match that success this year. Our volunteers are the reason behind our success and we are so grateful to them for their hard work.”
The League of Friends raises funds for the hospital through events, the handmade goods counter located in the main atrium at RBH, coffee mornings, legacies, and subscriptions and donations from members and the public.
