Paul Woods at the CRN Fight Night being announced the winner!
Paul Woods, Managing Director of Bournemouth based business Astute Ltd has recently taken part in the CRN fight night to raise money for Autism Wessex.
CRN Fight Night hosted its seventh event this year after raising over £180,000 since the first fight in 2008. It is always a great event with over 450 industry professionals cheering on the heroes who fight to raise money for their nominated charities.
Paul Woods said “The fight night is a fantastic event which raises thousands of pounds for charity each year so I wanted to get involved to support a charity close to my heart. My son has autism and we regularly use the free Information and Advice Service to get support. It is fantastic service that offers answers to queries from parents, carers, professionals and people with autism which helps anyone affected by autism to receive the support they need.”
Autism is a lifelong condition affecting one out of 100 people, which, when you include family members means autism touches over 2,000,000 people in the UK every day. While there is no cure for autism, Autism Wessex believe that with appropriate education, support or care and by making the world an easier place to understand, the impact of autism can be reduced and people with autism can be active citizens enjoying maximum independence and a good quality of life. Help is varied and far reaching and the charity needs donations to maintain all of its services.
