Vice Principal, Paul Holman, and Head of 6th Form, Caroline Kurtulan, took some of the students who will become the Academy’s first 6th Formers in September for a tour of the area that will become their own exclusive space with a quiet area for private studies and a communal area complete with an internet café.
“We have thrown out the question to those who will be the first to use the new facilities asking what they would like featured in the new centre and outdoor study area. This can range from the actual furnishings to the make of coffee to be served in the café. One of the new spacious adjoining classrooms in the centre will already be dedicated for IT,” said Paul Holman.
Over 100 students from the region have applied for places at the new 6th Form, attracted not only by the new facilities but the wide range of subjects offered within the curriculum.
