Five new jobs created at Diverse Abilities
Following increased demand for assistance, Diverse Abilities has appointed five new keyworkers to its Supported Living Service.
The charity’s service enables adults with physical and learning disabilities to live their lives to the full with 24/7 care.
Brady, a personal support assistant, commented, “I have found my role incredibly rewarding so far, by simply aiding someone’s everyday life knowing that you are the reason they have the ability to get through the day doing whatever activities they are capable of, provides an unrivalled level of satisfaction.
“The induction process was adapted due to COVID-19 and created a different challenge for everyone, and it made me appreciate just how hard everyone works to make things work as smoothly as possible. There is a real sense of community that I am thrilled to now be a part of.”
It’s also straight-forward: simply request an approved FREEPOST bag from the Think Inks website: www.inksnhs.com. This will be sent to your address. Fill the bag with your empty cartridges (two to 10 cartridges are permitted in each bag) to recycle. The bag can be posted in any post box, for free. No direct contact with others is required.

Ellie Orton, chief executive of NHS Charities Together said, “We are truly impressed with the sheer volume of support we are receiving and this innovative Think Inks campaign, that not only helps those wonderful NHS staff and the volunteers working day and night to save lives at a time of critical importance for us all, but is also healthier for our planet.”
