PUTTING THE FINISHING TOUCHES TO THE LAST PANEL OF THE FLORAL CARPET
The ‘Wheels of Time’ Flower Festival in Wimborne Minster starts today (Friday 22 May) and runs until Monday, 25 May.
This is the first major flower festival in the Minster Church of St Cuthburga for five years and flower clubs from across Dorset and the minster’s own arrangers are busy putting the finishing touches to the displays. These will feature a 44′ long floral carpet as well as several large tableaux and floral arrangements. There will also be papier maché life-size figures. Entrance costs £4.50 (£4 conc) and accompanied children are free.
