Fordingbridge Events Group back in business
Plans are afoot for Christmas and 2022, and the committee is keen for more people in Fordingbridge to become involved.
Fordingbridge Events Group committee is planning events for December 2021 and into 2022.
Nicky Jenkins, chairman of the group said after the first face to face committee meeting for 18 months: “Getting together was so great and although there is still a lot of uncertainty about future life and big events, we have decided to try and pull together a Christmas event for the town. We are also looking at community events for the Queen’s Jubilee in 2022 and what the Fordingbridge Festival could look like in the future.”
Tentative plans for the Christmas event involve the closure of Roundhill and a series of stands and entertainment on the afternoon of the 11 December. There is a meeting from 6-7pm on 11 October at Fordingbridge Town Hall where more details about the Christmas event will be shared. Anyone looking for more information on how to get involved is welcome.
Nicky said: “We are also specifically looking for new people to get involved with our group. We’re a really fun bunch and there are lot of laughs. Everyone is welcome as we have a variety of jobs that need doing but if you’re prepared to roll your sleeves up with all kinds of practical jobs, we really want to hear from you.
“We have a great community – if you want to give something back but have a great time doing so, please get in touch and email the group at fordingbridgeevents@gmail.com.”
