Poole hospice launches Yellow Ribbon Appeal
Forest Holme has launched this appeal to support its bereavement and counselling service at the Poole based hospice.
Forest Holme normally stages a Tie a Yellow Ribbon event in June, which is Hospice Awareness Month, but this year the Poole based hospice is hoping to host a scaled back event in August.
In the meantime, it is launching its Yellow Ribbon Appeal with an aim to raise £10,000 to support the delivery of its bereavement and counselling service at Forest Holme.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic there will be a greater and more long-term need for counselling as some families were unable to be close to their loved ones at the end of their life and weren’t able to have the funeral they would have wished for due to social distancing restrictions that were in place.
If you would like to show your support for the appeal you can make a donation via the website: www.forestholmehospice.org.uk/donate.
This year the hospice has created the Forest Holme Arts Trail, a collection of yellow ribbon inspired artwork created by supporters, which have been brought together around central Poole.
